Fairytale of New York

A few Christmas’s back, I loaded my Diana with Ilford Hp5 medium format film, and shot a series inspired by one of my favorite Christmas “anti-carols”, the Pogue’s “Fairytale of New York”.

“i can see a better time”

“you took my dreams from me”

“i’ve got a feeling this year’s for me and you”

“and then he sang a song”

“queen of New York City”

“i dreamed about you”

“the boys of the NYPD choir were singing Galway Bay”

“well so could anyone”

“you promised me Broadway was waiting for me”

“i built my dreams around you”
